i have heard that the only way to play an xbox 360 is to have a hd tv....i was wondering is this true or i can start to save to get me a xbox 360?

Use your head. Would MS really design a system JUST for HDTV's? HELL NO.  That leaves a HUGE part of the market out of the loop.  You problably heard an expression and took it literally, HD is the ONLY way to play the '360, means it's the BEST way to play the '360.  Graphics wise.

Just as previous post said, you can play the 360 on a standard tv.
