Title: Wireless Connection Idea?
Post by: doeboi on January 13, 2004, 07:04:00 AM
I am not sure if anyone has brought this up before but I was just wondering if anyone has tried to hook up a XBox wirelessly using an Access Point that works in bridge-mode or even client-mode. For example, I'm talking about the D-Link DWL900+ which can work in those modes and I'm sure there are a lot more products which allow similar configs. It seems that these proprietory Xbox Wireless Bridge Adapters can cost almost as much as the XBox itself, and sometimes more than a regular Wireless AP/Router ($200CAN for Linksys wireless-G adapter @futureshop.ca.. !!).

To get an idea of what I am talking about, here is a link to a sketch of a network setup in bridge mode using wireless access points.

If anyone has tried this or even attempted, your reply would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks  <
