I have a D-Link614+ router that is connected to my laptop and modded Xbox.  I want to use XboxLink but the only problem is that I can't find where I wrote down my username and password so I can't forward the ports.  Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do? Call D-Link Support line maybe?

you could do a full reset on it...i am sure there are instructions on the manufacturers website...nothing a google search wont fix.  <

Hey i have the same router (and the D-link 810+ bridge) but I'm not sure if did the right thing with the port forwarding.  I can see the remote and the local xbox's when running Xbox link but when I try to join a game it says that the session isn't available anymore.
Is it the right thing to go to the virtual server menu in the D-Link614+ router setup (coz thats what I did) or where do i have to go for port forwarding?
Or maybe I have to configure the bridge?
Thx for your help. :-)  <

Make sure that you have UPnP enabled and that you click "Forward ports automatically".  If this doesn't work, refer to the pinned post at the top of this forum entitled "Xlink Beginners and Newbies".  If you have any moe questions or problems post them here.  <

If you set up port-forwarding and you logged in, then you most likely got it right.

The session unavailable issue is something unrelated to the port-forwarding.  <

I've had some trouble setting up my 810+

In the WET11 Settings under config then Advanced setting I've put the 810+'s ethernet MAC address in both of the feilds should begin with 000d88 or similar.

With the router, I've got a 624+ and entered the ports in the server settings, which automatically forwarded them and added them to the firewall too.  <

Hey I'm not sure if it will help or not but I've got a D-Link 624 (which is very sweet)...The logon name should be admin with the password blank (unless you did change it). To foward ports I just use the feature built into the messenger which usually works fine...sometimes it may take a few tries but eventually it gives in...On my router config. utility, I go into advanced, and then Firewall. which you can usually see what Xlink forwarded. On the subject of the 810+, I've got a G810 which is like the same but at 108mbps instead of 22 (hehe). I didnt change any of the settings except for the SSID and the channel but if your never changed any settings on the router it should connect just like that. The default setttings for all D-Link stuff is SSID: default and Channel: 6. Note that the firmware of your router your using will work. Always keep the a backup firmware incase u f something up. Also, Just cause it dosnt say Xbox Live Compatiple doesn't mean it wont work, like firmware 2.28 instead of 2.25 on the 624....  <

did you change your sign on and pass? Cause if not its probably still set as default
and you can probably find that in your routers online manual
