My box was functioning perfectly with a new eeprom and my stock hard drive (I flashed the drive back to factory retail with slayers so i didnt have ftp). Last night I turned my chip on with the box connected to the internet. Fucking ms dashboard popped up and started to connect to live, I still shut it off while it was thinking, it acted like it couldnt find live, the little wheel popped up at the bottom and the screen kinda faded out. Should my bios have blocked this? Its Evox 1.6 for my 1.6b box?

Then I booted slayers up and formatted the drive with evox, etc. I played fine last night. Booted up today and fucking banned. I'm so pissed right now.


UGHHH. Apparently the bios DOES let it sign on to live. I just tried to connect to live with the chip on and the goddamn thing brought up the banned for modded hardware screen.

Whats up here? MS scanning boxes or my slight fuckup? I think MS is scanning hard drives now or somethin, cause I've seen a couple other people getting banned too, and I shut the box off really quick on that connect to live. I dunno how fast MS can verify the eeprom/hd/bios.

*sigh*

Also, my gamertag is flagged I believe from my previous ban. If the little fuckup didnt do anything, perhaps flagged gamertag + files on drive = ban?

the basic evox M* and M8+ do not have Live blocking

there is a meto edition of M8+ with Live blocking, but if you werent using that its a good bet you were connected long enough to get banned

well damn. They can detect that bios fast then. Anyone have a stock  unbanned HD forsale?

You can get EEPROMS from Zodiak, look in the "for sale" forum. 1 EEPROM for $10, 2 for $16. I just bought two, great, fast service. I was able to play on live last night with one of my new virgin eeproms and a new upgraded HD that had never been on Live!. As a precaution, my C partition is completely stock, all homebrews & backups are on F and G.

I wanna clear my and C and E drives like you to be safe. I don't know how it was before I used slayer's  What directories should I delete from C and E?

Is there a way I can configure my emulators to put saves on the F drive instead of E.

E should have the folders

CACHE
TDATA
UDATA

Nothing else.

I don't use any emulators, so I don't know about how to configure them. But XBMC and other homebrews save to E just as games do, and I've not had any problems.

Be careful, I just got my sorry ass banned from Live with the "modified Xbox hardware" message. Virgin EEprom, HD that was never on Live, but apparently my GT was flagged. I'm looking into getting an Xtender kit from Divneo with a HD switch.

Flagged GT shouldnt matter with a stock HD. Thats what I am getting.
