Title: Linksys Wrt54gs And Wet11
Post by: TheFonz on October 25, 2004, 10:02:00 PM
Hi, guys. I have a WRT54GS (latest firmware) and connected to my Xbox I have a WET11 wireless bridge. I have tried the DMZ thing and the unable uPNP fix but with both I still get the same error. "Network Error, cannot find Xbox Live." I made sure my MTU is set high enough and the ports are forwarded. I am really out of ideas. This setup was working fine when I had 802.11b WAP. Other computers can use the network but Xbox Live refuses to work. i have tried static IP's and dynamic, both have the same result.

Also if it helps, I can still FTP back and forth in EvoX with no problems. That tells me the network is working and the xbox has an IP address, its just Xbox live that is being the problem. Any help would be great. This is really frustrating...

Thanks
The Fonz

Try turning off UPnP (the Xbox live website says there might be problems with an older version of the bios). Then switch to static IP (in Xbox live config) and forward ports (for your new static IP) UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074 (in router setup). Port forwarding doesn't work unless your IP is static.

2. use stand alone xbox to play over new kai link evolution VII without the need of live and FREE
