Hello, my friend bought a new Xbox today and we are having trouble connecting it to Xbox Live. He already has one Xbox and an Xbox Live account. So we took a memory card and copied his account from the card then onto the new Xbox. We have the same setup form before, it hasn't changed, but when we go to connect to XBL it says "Xbox Live not found". So we ran the trouble troubleshooter and the cables were ok, ip setting are ok, DNS settings ok, but then the last thing Xbox Live could not be found. So then we hooked up the old xbox and it gets on Live just fine.
What's weird is that it has a connection, because he was able to take an Xbox Live update (new Xbox Live dashboard), when he put a game in the tray.
I have no clue as to why it won't work. We've called Xbox Live support, but they were no help. If you have any idea as to why it won't work it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Kdog.
