Title: Xbox Live: Recover Banned Account

I have been reading that several have recovered their banned XBL account. Has there been a step by step process posted yet to do this?

                                    think your confused with re-surrecting banned xbox's.  no accounts themselves have been banned (yet)

Hi there,

Kkattfish helped me out.  here is what you need to do:

insert a memory card into your controller
-select the 'memory' option from the ms dashboard
-select the harddrive and scroll throug the list, the xbox live account should be the last one
-then when you see the xbox live account, push right on your controller and push a to select,
-this should bring up an option for you to copy, follow the prompts and then your account info should be on  the memory card

i did as he said and it worked.  now i just have to take my memory card to a friends house and make sure it works, i am sure it does.

Yes he's confusing accounts and banning, not the same thing.

ya u dont need to do all that. Just goto recovery on new system and type ur info in, it will pop up

                                    No you are confused.

You are talking about "account recovery" which is used to pull up your account info, in case you say forgot your password, etc.

This has nothing to do with BANNING which is what the thread poster was talking about.

                                    LOL......i had you guys goin for a sec.......i just gave my xbox to my cousin and he doesnt want XBL
