Title: Gametype: Murderball

This is a gametype I saw on bungie's forums, but I was the one to name it  :) .

- Oddball (3 balls)
- No teams
- 3 mins to win
- No sheilds
- Melee ONLY ( no grenades either )
- Everyone must stay in a designated area


Best played at Ascension, where everyone MUST stay in the Dish, or Lockout, where everyone must stay in the middle (with the glass in the floor).

First player to 3 mins wins.

sounds like it would be quite chaotic, but only if people play by the rules, too bad bungie didn't make the rules more flexible.

I read something about a similar game.  It was called FFA Slayer, and it had extra damage as one of the options as well.

Hmm, I couldn't edit my last post.  I meant to call the game FFA Melee Ball.

My friends and I have a game like this. Just called it boxing since thats what it basically is. 2 balls, Lockout, two players in the middle, everyone else on the sides, 15 mins (to keep it long and fun).
Melle with the ball only, you can go anywhere in the level, sometimes we go on the sides of the bridge to the lift. See who falls off first (that ones fun)
We all got overshields, and extra shields with the ball.
It's an awesome game, tons of fun since its just our friends so we all abide by the rules.

Yeah, we invented games like that for Halo 1. It was:

1-Way CTF
We didn't like Bungie's way of handling offense\defense, so we invented our own.
2-flag CTF, Warthog only (usually played with 2-on-2 or 3-on-3)

The Blue team (my team) would hide their Warthog, while Red team attacks.
The defending team could not pass the half-way point.
The defenders got to attack when all attackers were no longer at their base.

the first post has everything right except you need to start with plas pistol so you can actually punch and then go for 15 min with like 10 people and get killimanjaros if your good enough but it has to be no shields so 2 hits with the plas or 1 hit with a skull

we have played it in our clan sence the first week like that
