2. Optical Disc Drive Emulators. xk3y, Wasabi360, etc.
3. Not with backups. That's a violation of the ToS and ToU. Such talk, much like piracy, is not permitted here. If you want to use backups, you need to use them offline only.

If you want to play them in disc form, you'll need to flash the firmware. If you want to play them from an external drive, you'll need an ODDE. Whichever one is best for you depends upon which you prefer.
