Remove the circuit board from the old drive and put it in the new one.
De-solder the wires, DO NO CUT THEM. All you need to do is touch them with the soldering iron and pull on the wire. As it heats up, your pulling on the wire will remove it from the board. Same with soldering. There is enough solder left there, just place the wire in the right spot and hold the soldering iron on it. When you see the solder melting, remove the soldering iron and hold the wire in place for a few more seconds.
I have read where it doesn't matter where the yellow and white wires go, but I mark the left one with a marker just in case.
