The GPU has failed, needs replacing.

For starters, a heat gun was used, the chip could have been on its last legs and the heat gun finished it off. Maybe the chip had just failed, they do that

My Xbox is working again!  jester.gif
The problem was, that the screws for the x clamp fix were too tight. After fiddling a bit with the screws, the Box is in working order again.  biggrin.gif

But why is it working without that capacitor underneath the cpu?  uhh.gif  
Are there any (long term) side effects when i just leave it that way?
