Title: Wireless Controller Sync Button Broken Off Board

I've got a wireless controller that has the sync button broken on the controller itself (not the plastic button, the actual switch on the board).

My question is, can I sync it manually using the cable from a plug-and-charge kit? Does it sync the controller or does it only provide power to the controller?

Yes, the PnC cable will force the controller to Sync to the 360 it's plugged into.
