Well, I recently got around to hooking my 360 up to my 720p HD TV. I went to dig out the HDMI cable, found it and as I turned the console around you can imagine my surprise/frustration when I saw that it had only the A/V port. Upon investigation I learned that I must have a pre-2007 360 with no HDMI port.
So, as I'm not in a position to either buy a new one nor will I get much money for the one I have now in trade-in value, I'll have to make do.
So, what are my options? I already have it connected via component cable and it's working find in HD. But I imagine that HDMI would be head and shoulders above this as far as image quality right? Should I look into a converter?
Also, I heard that the VGA option is good. If I were to replace my component cable with VGA, could I expect improved visuals? Maybe it's me, but the text using the component cable currently seems a bit fuzzy/jagged.
Any thoughts?

HDMI is better than component since it's all digital. However, it's not "head and shoulders above" component. HDMI is a bit sharper in my experience, but it won't be obvious to most people.
VGA is the worst of the three cables, and generally looks quite washed-out and more fuzzy than component.
