Hi i have a JTag Xenon 360 that i dont use that much(Haven't actually used it for a long time) as ive another Jtag as well but i turned it on today just to see how it was running and the screen went all fuzzy and then back normal again and it would do that every so often. So i opened the 360 up and felt the GPU heat sink and it was red hot. So hot in fact that you would burn your hand. So my question is! What would cause the GPU to heat up so much?? Short underneath? GPU on the way out??
Im open to sugestions to the cause of the problem as i would like to solve the it and get the 360 back running again. Thanks!
The gpu in an xexon is always hot. Maybe not burn ur hand per-say, but usually if u keep your hand there for a bit its a bad idea. Now the fuzzy screen could mean its going to redring soon. If you really want to keep the xbox cool, replace the thermal paste, and 12volt fan mod it.

-Since your xbox is a jtag, what is the exact temp your getting? You can check this in xexmenu.
My Xexon Jtag gets 68C for the GPU, without 12volt or anymods.

I cant get the temps as no picture comes up on screen today. No RROD though so it must be on the way out. I suppose to fix it properly i will need to get a new GPU and a reball.
If you are in the UK mate I'll happily reball the console for you. May not need a new GPU, just a reball. If it does need a new GPU I can supply one too.
Cheers
