My guess is the issue is your connection method. If you were using a kosher wireless or straight Ethernet-to-router/modem setup, you likely wouldn't have this problem.

You hook the slim through the PC as well?

The slims might have slightly different networking implementation due to the built-in wireless, but I can't say for sure.

lol. I thought that was a little bizarre. What OS are you using and how are you sharing the connection?
