Title: 1.18v Rail Shorted To Ground = 0001
Post by: Gokussj5okazu on September 21, 2011, 03:05:00 PM
Ok, needing some help on this one.

Recently reflowed a 0102 mobo and got it all working again. Put it back together, but I forgot one nylon washer on the bottom.

The head of one of the screws scraped through the adjacent plane, and shorted it to ground. On a good board, I measured this plane as a 1.18V plane, that is supplied by the two MOSFETS above the CPU on the top of the board.

I checked Q6B1 and Q7B1, and found Q6B1 to be bad. I replaced it but am still getting the 0001 error. Does anyone have any ideas what else to check and/or replace in order to fix this?
