WHY DON'T THESE THINGS HAVE A/C POWER ADAPTERS
It may be easy to connect via USB now but I'm willing to guess that most people are still going to need to open their PC's go get molex power for a CK3 (or equivalent) or use the 360 for power. Also, 65$ is a little too pricey, oh well. At least its good to see the modding scene still evolving and conquering the slim drives.

No, this runs off of usb (5v) the drive requires 12v. You cant use it to power drives.

To be accurate, you can read, erase and write firmware to all current drives (excl. Hitachi v79) using a 5v supply. I've done so on many an occasion. 12v is only needed for motor functions, such as laser, spindle and snake drive.
Obviously not a desirable solution, but handy if you're caught short (like I was) and your external molex PSU goes kaput

I suggest to read the countless posts scattered across the web where people have driver issues with VIA SATA devices, as well as those who can't / won't install a VIA PCI card. Because it's USB, every machine is compatible. I've a laptop with a working config and I'm even tempted into getting one, though the price is a sticking point ATM.

Yes.
You need a spear or vampire or homemade device to do Liteon 7series drives still, you need to do MRA/Boxxdr method or use on of those shitty Xecuter LT switch/clip boards or Probe 2 to do Liteon 8v2 or 93450s.
This would be good for desktop or laptop users. Just because you have onboard compatibility or a VIA card doesn't mean everyone does. I use a laptop and a PC to flash drives. Both can flash 100% any drive. I have no problems with my hardware, though some people have driver issues and such so this will be better for them.

He actually does think c4eva, and by association, Team Jungle, are holding back the firmware, in order to boost sales of the x360USB PRO.

As already stated, compatible simply means it will detect the drives. We already know that the Lite-on 9504 is a simple read and write with no extra tools but we dont know what will be involved in flashing the 0225 or the Hitachi 0500.

My cousins who regular flashes my Lite-on drive, lives far away and its a pain shipping my xbox back and forth for firmware updates. I have a laptop and this would work perfect for me! He says I have a Lite-On 7350c, but I never heard of it.
My question is, if I get this x360USB PRO, will I need anything else? I'm reading that I need a connectivity kit? I'm just wondering If I need anything else besides the usb pro itself? Please reply back!
