Title: Had A Chat About Hdd's With A Microsoft Employee
Post by: Nombrrr1 on November 27, 2010, 08:24:00 PM
I bought a SLIM and thought I would just disassemble th 60 GB HDD from my old XBOX 360 and get a case for the SLIM and have a 60 GB SLIM.

I read a thread that said M$ would not like this and possibly lead to a ban. I know NOW that the HDD is codded for a console but I need some more help clearing up the issue here.

All I wanna do is expand my SLIMS HDD with my old 60GB HDD... According to the M$ 'Community Xpert' it could be ground for a suspension/ban. Is this in fact true?

Here is my chat I had with the 'Xpert'.

Spoke with another guy about the situation...

i call bs also. hhd's aren't paired to consoles.  also, there is no warranty stick to break putting a hdd in a slim.

if anything you were told that in an attempt for M$ to get more money out of you. Im not saying that they are targeting people at a personal level, there is just probably some guidelines they have to follow upon a subject such as this is brought up. i say go for it, its the same HDD. many people have already done this
