Title: Extra Fan Mods
Post by: israel13 on April 29, 2010, 05:24:00 PM
Hey, I have a 360 with the Nyko Intercooler TS which works great, it does keep your 360 cooler, not like the EX which gave the 360 the rrod. My 360 would always overheat with the intercooler, so i opened the 360 and cleaned all the dust out (it was filled). I also put a box with no cover under the power supply and a bigger box with no cover under the 360. Now my 360 hasnt overheated at all, except for one time that i forgot to plug in the Nyko Intercooler TS. I added a small 50mm 5v fan blowing air into this heatsink

I connected the 50mm fan to a usb cable through the outside of the 360, i hooked up the usb to the back of 360. It worked fine. I also added a 80mm fan on the outside right of 360 blowing air into the 360, I connected that fan into the 360s original fans. On the 360s fans i burned the rubber off from the wires with a lighter and i connect the outside fan with that, red to red and black to black .then i put tape over it. it also works fine. I have one extra 80mm fan left. I want to know if there will be any problems if I also connect it the original 360 fans like I did with the other 80mm fan. Will it get an rrod or something? Or can I just connect as many fans as I want to it? I want to keep my 360 as cool as possible, but i dont want to do the 12v fan mod because it will make alot of noise, or will it? Can somebody answer my questions, and if you can please give me some other cooling tips and solutions. I dont ever want to get an rrod. Thanks
