Got a RROD (from ebay)that had a previous xclamp repair. The previous was done with bolts and no washers between heatsink and board. Proceeded to do my normal fix (heatgun and washers) followed by full diy hybrid(not done yet as basic did not boot) but I couldn't get the box to boot. Had various error codes last but one 0010, 0013 and now seem to be settled on 0002, In another thread it is mentioned that if the box goes to overheat without h/sinks making good contact it is fixable(world formula mentions this). Currently my fans start for about a second any I get a very quick RROD followed by back to standby. Without Hsinks the fans start on full blast and then cut out. Have tried to reflow both CPU and GPU and also ram (given one of my other errors said ram). Have tried to reflow at 210 on the CPU and GPU and Ram with liquid flux as well. Anyone got any ideas am I correct to assume mosfet is ok as 2 lights and full 12volts kick in with no hsinks?
