If anyone can hlpe me get this error solved it would be greatly appreciated. I havent encountered this error before so i need all the help i can get. Thanks

E80: Dashboard Error - Wrong LDV version in NAND Flash: This is in new dashboard. You have the update but haven't R3T6 resistor. You can:
-Downgrade to old dashboard, solder back the resistor and then update your xbox
-If you have CPU Key, get current NAND Flash image and fix LDV (just add 1 up to latest kernel). (See error 1100)

This means you are in deep s??t! Did you do any mod or fix on your console recently? Try to locate the R3T6 if its there or not. Then did you try to upgrade your dashboard?

Anyway.. try this just to be sure its just software or hardware combined:

Clear Any Failed system updates that cause the console to error.

   1. With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one)
   2. While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console
   3. Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.
   4. During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.

Yea, im aware of the error and no i did not mod it. Its a clients 360 that im repiaring. I will definably try that before opening it. But if the R3T6 is not there will i have to re solder it? I should be able to do that if thats the fix for it.

Yeap in 9 to 10 cases re-installing the R3T6 solved the problem.

Not trying to ressurect old threads but I have the same e80 error code but my xbox hasn't been modded. Not that I know of. I bought it as a refurb. And I the r6t3 still looks intact. Any ideas what could be the problem. I got the rrod error after trying to upgrade to the latest dashboard.

Yeah. Still a getting the error though... I dont really know what else to do the 360 isnt modded or hacked in any way but everyone seems to get this error when they have removed this resistor. Is it possible it that the resistor just died? The manufacturing date on the console is from 2008.

Yep,i just got this too.Never seen it before.Unmodded system,original drive,attempted update then BAM E80.No update restore (sync) possible.Removing drive does nothing,drive seems ok,unflashed.Xenon Hitachi 78fk..

If you have this error and you know for sure that the console has never been modded, check all the capacitors (tall cylinders) around the CPU for leakage and also check to make sure the tops of them are perfectly flat. If you rub your finger around on the X in the middle, you can usually feel the difference from one that is not flat. If they are bulging at all, then this is your problem and then they need to be replaced.

Capacitors can swell or even blow up when an Xbox 360 system board has been pre-baked (heated) at too high a temp or has been reflowed multiple times.  (YES! I've had it happen before. Always wear eye protection when performing reflows or reballing of any system board. The liquid inside a capacitor is very acidic and can blind you!)

When caused by a blown capacitor, this error will not arise until an update is performed. When the update package goes to blow an eFuse in the CPU's OTP area and the capacitor which supplies the voltage to carry out the process is blown or defective, the console will stall on error E80 (Wrong LDV Version (LVD = Fuse Count)).

Replacing the blown capacitor will allow the update process to continue as normal.

If u never modded it ,and it has the warranty sticker, it might be better just to sen it to ms.
