Hello all, new guy here and I'll be introducing myself with a question. I've searched the forums and couldn't find this specific question answered.
I believe my RF Module is burnt out, the power button still turns the xbox on and off but the LEDs on it won't turn on at all and my controllers won't sync up. Other than this the xbox fuctions completely normal.
So my question is: If the RF Module is fried, would my controllers also cease to sync through the PaC wire as well?
Reason I ask is I hope it isn't a problem beyond the RF Module, I wanted to make sure before I go to order one in case it's a worthless fix and ends up being a Mobo problem.
Thanks in advance for your input, and I apologize if this question has been answered before and I was unable to find it through the search.

you need a new RF board, you won't be able to tell when your system RRoDs, nor will the controllers sync, you NEED it. so just get a new one. they're not hard to find, if you can find an RRoD board somewhere, then you can find this.

Thanks for the quick reply.
So the controllers won't sync with the PaC wire either if the RF module is out? Because if they're still able to do that and it turns out I need a new Mobo (not just a problem with the rf module) I'm going to go straight to buying a new xbox instead of ordering another RFM.

The Wireless controllers still connect via RF even when plugged up with the PnC cable, so if the RF board is bad it's not going to work either way. It's still possible the 360 is causing the issue, but more than a few around here have had this issue and a new RF board has fixed them up.
