Title: Wireless Pads Losing Connection.
Post by: Madmuhfuh on October 21, 2009, 09:09:00 AM
Hey all

Been passed a 360 to fix for a mate with a weird issue. Wireless pads cant stay connected.
can get em to sync and work if im very close and directly in front of the machine but moving away more than a couple feet the pad loses connect.

its not the pads. tried all 3 of mine that work fine on my machine and everyone elses. So its something with the box itself.

Any ideas? As far as im aware that lil daughter board on the front of the machine is the pad controller and the square metal thing is the transceiver aerial. dont want to crack it open and look until ive got some sort of idea what might be causing it as the machine is still warrantied. he just doesnt want the hassle of sending it away.

Any ideas?

Replacing the wireless board should fix your problem. I found a site awhile back with the wireless boards with led swaps of all the colors imaginable for cheap 25-30ish US. If you're interested let me know and I'll try to hunt down where I seen them.

i have a couple of old dead xboxes here i can salvage one from.
