i got a 360 here,im trying to fix.the person had tried to do the xclamp replacement,but used a cheap white silicone based paste.i cleaned and replaced with as5.
then the xbox would power up but not boot.there is no error codes or red lights.
i read it could be related to bad or shorting usb ports,so sure enough i check and one of the front controller ports has the plastic piece missing.nothing inside the port is touching.i checked the underside of the mobo
and on the controller connection,i noticed 3 solder points were touching,8/4/3 are the numbers associated with where the solder was touching the 3 points,i removed the solder.and i still have the same prob
the xbox powers up,fans on.green light in the middle,but it wont boot up to dash or even the post screen.
no red lights and no on screen error codes--any1 have this problem or know of a fix--thanks in advance
