Title: Elite Rrod Fix Attempt - No Power

Guys I did the x-clamp fix and when I try and finish the fix to power up the unit the unit gets a real quick green light then nothing..  the power brick then goes red....

any ideas?

My guess is that something is shorting on the board. Check again your fix, no thermal paste must go to any components, or the mainboard bending. There are two reason why we use Arctic Silver 5. First because is good for high temperatures and is safe for electronic components, doesn't make any shorts. Check and let me know.
