Title: Networking Xbox + Pc

I have my modem with the wireless router downstairs and I have a pc with a wireless adapter upstairs along with the xbox next to it.  I want to get a connection to the internet to my xbox from my pc.  Can i connect my xbox up to my pc somehow? (hub/cross over cable/cat 5???)

Is your Xbox modified? If so you can connect up using Cat5 and there are various programs that can be used for various internet tasks.

What internet things do you want to use the Xbox for? Browsing, Gaming?

yes, the xbox is soft-modded.  i want to use it for xbmc for streams.  so i would connect my xbox and pc with a cat5 cable?  will the ip be passed on from the pc onto my xbox automatically or do i need to configure it somehow?
