Never ran into it before, but if I'm getting it right, somewhere before the rf board the power button won't work. I guess you could try and dig up some info or follow the trace the power button would use and jump a wire to that. Honestly I'm not to sure if that is it or if possibly there has been a logic error created in a chip

That was supposed to just be one reply, but it double posted.

Check those Resistors on the motherboard, R3N6 and R3N7, if neither of those are bad then make sure the 3.3v is there on R3N6. If both Resistors are good and the 3.3v is there then the problem is either a broken trace there running to the Southbridge or the Southbridge itself.
