this is a bridged solder joint under CPU/GPU/RAM
The X Clamp replacement might fix it

AS5 is a "heatsink paste" if it is a paste for computer chips it should be okay, it will just not conduct heat as well as AS5

could i fix it by hair drying it?
-
If the problem was your XBox 360's hair was wet, then yes. As far as reflowing solder with a hair dryer - ain't gonna happen, cap'n.

There are 2 known fixes that are proven to be working

Terrible idea. Don't even think about trying that. Save your money and buy a heat gun. Its an absolute necessity for xbox 360 owners who fix rrod themselves.
-
seriously, i would even suggest you try and fix it yourself (especially with a heatgun). send it off to someone who will do it correctly and wont kill it

The answer to your question, has been answered by Wilhelm already.
-
seriously man, are you really that stupid? More than once now links have been posted to possible fixes, both the xclamp and wilhelm's heat gun tut, (which is very good btw)
and yet you still ask for links, help etc when it has already been provided more than once!
why dont you actually try to fix it then report back with any further problems...
P.S- the hair drye isnt going to work, not by a long shot, say about 200oC! so lets get that out of our little head.
the only way to reflow the CPU/GPU/RAM/ anything is with a heatgun or a professional oven.
not to sound mean buts its frustrating hearing the same thing over and ever
