Title: Halo Czn -- Fixing For Halo On Hard Drive
Post by: Roland on February 27, 2005, 08:18:00 PM
I have used the Halo CZN + 10 trainer in the past with my Halo (DVD).  But I am a bit confused about how to get the trainer to work if I have Halo loaded onto my Xbox hard drive.  From the supplied .nfo it would seem I need to patch the default.xbe (for the Halo trainer) with the supplied NTSC.IPS file.  I am running Windows XP with service pack 1 on my PC, and have downloaded IPSWin.exe (version 2.0) since the version supplied (1.0) does not work with Windows XP.  But...I FTPed into my Xbox into the Halotrainer (under F:\Apps\Halotrainer) and replaced the supplied default.xbe with the patched default.xbe I made after using IPSWin.exe to patch the Halotrainer default.xbe with the NTSC.IPS file...tried starting the Halotrainer...my Halo menu comes up (the Demos heading in the menu is GONE)...start a Campaign...and I get an dirty disc error, at which point I press "A" and my Xbox returns to my Evox menu?  I must be doing something wrong, but I have NO idea what?  Thanks for any help for this :). <
