open the culprit drive up and take some good pictures of the pcb, sounds like u have a short.

Then, when I plug in the sata cable, the xbox shuts down immediatly.

Does anyone know what my problem is? I have absolutely no idea what is going on and hope someone can help me...

Had the same problem many moons ago, it turned out to be a loose sata pin connector on the main board.you will need to check and reflow/solder the connector.
