You need to flash the benq back to stock. Now update the dash and finally flash the benq with the new hacked firmware.
I thought OP posted he already did that, and it didn't work.

Hello all, I have done my best to scour the Internets, and I have not come across anyone in a similar situation. I have an Xbox phat with BenQ running iXtreme 1.5 which was banned with the 8955 dash update, which was fine because I don't really care about playing online. I got busy with other things so a couple of years passed and I didn't touch the Xbox until recently, I decided to give it another go. My old backups still worked and everything.
However, I found that I cannot run the XGD3 games with this old dash, so I flashed back to the old stock BenQ using my key etc. Then I went to download the latest official system update and put it on a USB drive. Here's my problem - when I plug in the drive it says "update detected, restart now?" I click yes and it reboots the Xbox, but the screen just stays blank. I've let it sit like that for a long time and it stays black. I then tried burning the update onto a CD instead, put it in the Xbox, and restarted it - the Xbox 360 would begin to boot up and then just freeze at the Xbox 360 logo screen. Once I remove the USB or update CD, the Xbox boots back up to the dash normally. I even formatted my Xbox HDD and cleared the System Cache; it just can't seem to do updates which prevents me from playing any games made in the past couple of years. Has anyone seen a similar issue? What can I do about this?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
First of all did you select the correct original stock firmware for your Benq drive? I think there are 8 revision's of stock firmware for your current dashboard. Try downloading and installing this dashboard http://digiex.net/do...s-download.html first to see if that updates your 360. If that works then you can then try installing the latest dash.
