You need a 'probe' to get the key from the drive.

Can't I just hook it up to a sata port, power it up and read the key with jungleflasher?

you can use dummy from ix
BUT that only works with ix 1.5-1.61
unless this box has been hidden in a cupboard for two years thats
going to be highly unlikely,
you will need to use a probe3/pmt and phatkey extraction
with suitable sata.

You could rgh it to get the dvd key if you want to get crazy. Only if it's RGH'able. But only if it has below 15574 dash.

Hm, if that's the case I'll drop it off at my local gamestore. They've flashed the drive before, I'll ask them to send me the drive key. Thanks all!
