He had been oddly quite basically since the beginning of the year when 3.0 for slim was released.  Other than letting us know that the dashupdates are good to go, he hasn't said much, particularily on the 1175.

the scene for RGH is Red Hot these days and there is Mulla$$$$ to make with that, wonder if there is some form of pressure on C4EVA to stop releasing free firmwares on the public scene making Team Xecuter and others to Exploit their products, i'm really thinking something is fishy  sleep.gif  sleep.gif  sleep.gif , solution is probably already found, has this been the longest time since The consoles very 1st drive Samsung's MS25 to find an exploit in the Optical Drives????  dry.gif  dry.gif  dry.gif

My thoughts exactly but I hope not...

I think the conspiracy theory being pushed here is far fetched.

AFAIK, there exists no means to write to the 1175.

1175 firmware was ready many months ago,
there is no way to dump the key from the drive without specialised decapping,
there is no way to write to the chip, its a write once only job.
So to rgh is the only current possible option,
the only thing "fishy" going on is in your girlfriends underwear.

How do you know that to be a fact?  C4Eva has never stated that to be the case for sure (as far as I know).  He has stated before that he has found a vendor mode and that while the security was good "it wasn't good enough".

unles gary oppa came back to writing firmware but who knows

I came back recently to run this site, as it was dieing. -- Been in the PS3 scene for a while now.

Just post some news on x360key cracking Liteon 1175 drive at least for their firmware, maybe they will be nice enough to release the 'decryption' system so others can port the Liteon firmware.

They also done some nice work on those Slim Hitachi drives.

As for me returning to help, I doing what I can like running this site, 'ps3crunch', '360crunch', 'maxconsole' and other console related sites, that way I am in direct talk with alot of developers and can inform them on what is happening, and inform forums what will be coming, etc.

My time is limited but I will be doing some neat hardware projects, etc. in the near future, I have so much on the go right now it is not funny at times, wish someone would invent the cloning machine, or a way to print money so I can do more.

Thanks for remembering me...
