C4E's iXtreme LTplus v3.0 for SLIM Lite-OnPosted by XanTium | January 15 18:22 EST | News Category: Xbox360 |
| |
C4E released the iXtreme LT+ v3.0 CFW for the SLIM 0272/0225/0401/1071 Lite-On (Philips-LiteOn DG-16D4S) drives:
C4E's iXtreme LT+ in association with Team Jungle & Team Xecuter Official release of the iXtreme LT+ v3.0 for 0272/0225/0401/1071 slim Liteons - Support for topology data on AP25 enabled titles. Will correctly answer any ap25 challenge eliminating need for dae.bin to create a backup. - No need to make new backups everytime dae.bin is updated on console - Extra support for rare firmwares
Topology Data When ap25 was first introduced I devised a way of calculating any challenge which I called the silver bullet which I made reference to along time ago. This was withheld until it was absolutely necessary. It was easier to replay the fixed challenges. With unique per console ap25 challenges it has become necessary to use the silver bullet. A series of measurements are taken across the disk. This topology data is then used to calculate a response to any ap25 challenge. It is very important that the drive used to create the topology data is reliable at reading discs as bad topology data equals bad ap25 responses. Liteon drives using 0800 v3 seem to be more accurate for this purpose. Only ap25 enabled titles require topology data. Activation of ap25 on older non-ap25 games although technically possible is highly unlikely. Currently topology data for xgd3 titles are similar and topology data from one xgd3 title will pass on another xgd3 title although this is not advisable. Per title title topology data is best as there are slight differences between titles and newer titles could have different topology than existing ones. One liteon to go and four Hitachis. Have a great year everyone.
Thanks go to Team Jungle and all testers for their hard work and efforts in the development process. Thanks also go to Team Xecuter for their support to this project.

Samsung drives do not support AP2.5 so those drives do not require a 3.0

Do they work in a non-slim LT 3.0 xbox?(install 100%)?

you sure?...cause i just flashed a 0401 and all is well in my side
-
I'm having read problems too. Was working fine for about a day now it can't read anything, even real discs. Running 0225 on an 0225 drive here.
-
did you outro the drive
I do it at least 3 times
try reflashing again and outro a couple of times
no probs with my 0225 and i also disconnected laser ribbon when flashing
-
Hi friends, is there a dummies guide or can someone please help:
how do i program from LT2.0 to LT3.0?, do I have to go back to OFW first?
Thanks for ANY help
-
I did some tests because of my disc read errors:
I installed 4 XGD3 games. Two of them failed. The second time I installed them it went fine. All discs were burnt by Imgburn (lates version) on an iHAS624 with LT Max on brand new Verbatims at 4x with OPC. The discs verified perfectly in Imgburn and later again in ABGX.
So it is more or less luck if I can install a game at the first try. But with a few tries I can install all games. What could be the Problem?
I use a original Xecuter PCB replacement (Liteon 401 rebuild). I strictly followed the Jungleflasher guide to flash the drive. The drive is correctly locked and I did the drive outro 3 times. I didn't get the key verified message, though.
Since I could install all 4 games in the end, I don't think that messed up connecting the cables inside of the drive.
All help is greatly appreciated!

so you disconnected the drives laser ribbon?
...
Are you supposed to disconnect it?
In my case it was a brand new replacement PCB. So I flashed it without any connections to the rest of the drive, just the plain PCB.

Have you seen this thread - http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=739572
I was having problems with xgd3's aswell, turned out it was a bad batch of verbatim discs, It was only some games that showed the problem. Try some of the burn settings in that thread also, that might help. Have you run a kprobe?
-
Thanks for your post. You really could be right. 2 discs were 'borrowed' from a friend and 2 discs have reading problems. Maybe his were Indian Verbs.
I will do that kprobe tonight and let you know.

Yeh i was stumped for ages, until I tried a new set of discs. Its really weird that some of them work fine and some dont, even depending on the game burnt.

QUOTE(franb1 @ Jan 17 2012, 03:13 PM)
I have a similar prob
Its that crappy iHAS drive - such a shame the max firmware wasn't written for a decent drive like the pioneer
Never had a single failure with my trusty old Pioneer 116 drive (even with Aones)
Cut the bs. The reason the failiure rate is so high is because the data density is being increased beyond spec of the disk and it's being burnt to the outer edge. Nothing to do with the drive for the most part. Get out of 2004.
-
But the failiure rate is also high burning DVDs to DL Aones with that drive
No over burn mecessary
-
OK, I burned one of the bad games again on one of my Verbatims and kprobed the discs:
Game | PI Max | PIF Max | PI Avg. | PIF Avg.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game 1, Verbatim from friend | 45 | 4 | 2,05 | 0,25
Game 2, Verbatim from friend | 48 | 6 | 2,01 | 0,31
Game 3, my Verbatim | 24 | 5 | 1,61 | 0,04
Game 1, my Verbatim | 39 | 4 | 2,10 | 0,08
Game 1 and 3 on Verbs bought from my friend have install problems, the others don't.
1st impression: PI and PIF depend a lot on the game. Even on the same type of Verbatim the values for Game 1 and Game 3 differ a lot.
2nd impression: the Verbatims I bought from my friend seem to be worse than my own. The same game has a lower PI value on my Verbs. The average PIF values are way lower on the Verbs I bought myself.
3rd impression: PIF is more important than PI. The two games having install problems have much higher average PIF values.
Now we are in trouble. Buying Verbs in stores is very expensive. But if you buy them in the web, you don't know if you will get the good ones produced in Singapore.

I disconnected the laser ribbon as you said and flashed it i have no bad discs every discs i burnt for my fat liteon works on my slim I guess im going to reflash the fat one this way i cant believe that a laser ribbon would cause it to get read errors but hey it worked on my slim perfect so thanks alot

i thought the same thing but it actually worked great doing mine this way then did the same with my fat liteon and now it boots all my discs too i dont know if its necessary but it worked for me cause before i did this on my fat liteon it was having problems reading all my discs that i burnt now the ones that didnt work on it are booting fine with no read errors so just unplugging the ribbon is worth atleast tryin cause it actually worked just like he said

Just had the weird problem with a slim xbox 360 with a 0225 drive.. update dash to the latest 14XXX (what ever it is) and put LT3.0 on it.. old games would come up play DVD and new games will go back to the dash.. I thought that I had put the incorrect firmware on the drive but I had a few backups of the same firmware but it still did the same issue..
I didn't lock the SPI so I thought as a last go I would just lock it and see if it worked.. and it did.. I didn't think the SPI lock needed to be locked.. anyone else had this issues with the new dash & or firmware?
Cheers
PS good work CFE on the firmware..
-
Can someone please verify for me that LT+3.0 is ONLY for slim drives, and LT+2.0 is still the latest for other versions, so only Slim drives are using the new topology data at the moment?
