There's nothing about the xk3y in the article you linked, although I know the xk3y guys are bragging they 'defeated' DAE.bin in 36 hours. Also the workaround in your link has already been posted on this site.

I found this interesting though:

Coming from the guys at team-xecuter, that should give some people a bit of relief.
And before anyone starts asking 'When will this be out?' ask yourself this - how long is a piece of string?
