So....You have a single Xbox 360 right?
You had a hitachi in it originally, changed the drive for a liteon? (same xbox 360?)
If so, then you already have the key and can (someone correct me if i'm wrong) therefore flash the Liteon drive, it's READING that is the problem and needs the soldering\trace cutting etc.
Writing is simply about having the correct SATA chipset and a method to power your xbox 360 dvd drive, neither of those should be a problem.

No, I have two xbox's. One is a Hitachi, and the other is lite-on.
The lite-on box has updated to the latest dashboard update. Which put a new firmware on the lite-on drive preventing me from extracting the key, and dummy.bin from it. (again I'm poor and can't afford the probes, etc..)
I am however able to get the key and stuff from the Hitachi drive.
So my question is, can I flash the latest LT+ 2.0 firmware to the lite-on drive using the key from the Hitachi. Then install the lite-on drive in the xbox that was using the hitachi.
Thanks for the reply

Like that?
I'm not sure if this would be called spoofing, unless spoofing only involves the key. lol...
I also see this in the pdf: "NOTE- You CANNOT SPOOF a LiteOn Drive with LT Firmware as a DIFFERENT DRIVE"
So, down to it... I want to put a lite-on drive into a old hitachi 360... and flash LT 2.0 to the lite-on in the process.

what are you gonna use in the console the liteon belongs to? btw, if u can do a hitachi, then a liteon only cost a dollar more.
