Title: Am I Safe To Do A Dashboard Update Prior To Lt+ 2.0

I have a BenQ running LT 1.1 firmware, this weekend I am going to upgrade to 2.0.

I don't understand exactly the interaction between the dashboard update and the dvdrom fw. If I install the latest dashboard update will that revert my drive firmware back to stock? If so can I still flash it to LT+ 2.0? What if I install LT+ 2.0 and do the dashboard update afterwards, will it still revert back to stock or does 2.0 protect me from that?

Also my xbox is banned, does that change anything?

If it makes you feel better flash to stock, then do the update, then flash 2.0

If you flash 2.0 you will probably get stuck in the update because it wont be able to flash it back to stock.  It is expecting whatever revision Benq was before the dash update and if you flashed to 2.0 it would be the wrong version.

Just leave your xbox apart and hook it up without the case on.  I do it all the time like this.  Then once you update and flash to 2.0 then put it back together.

Thanks for answering my question.
