if your flashing person had any clue how to do it right, he'd have followed my simple guide found here

then its very easy to update, and you dont have to touch the soldering iron ever again!!
flip switch to unlocked, run JF, get vendor mode, erase and flash new CFW, flick switch, relock SPI.
simples!!
