I just updated a 360 to firmware 13146, (iXtreme firmware causes update error followed by E64)
It has BenQ drive, afterwards I dumped the flash - and low and behold its firmware 0443 reservation 1c (restriction? I forget, the JF field below the firmware version)
LT+ 1.9 is firmware 0442.. Looks like MS is onto us. The console boots up but and backups work, but due to the stock firmware version being NEWER than the LT firmware it looks like MS is already setting up to mark and ban units.
It was updated via USB download from MS. I do not have an old update to compare the xex files to see if the BenQ update was updated with that update.
Can anyone else confirm this? was running 12611 dash before update.
./just tried a 74 series liteon with LT, it was updated to 0251 firmware - which I believe is the released rev.

Hmm, interesting!
Unfortunately although I have a BenQ I cannot try this as I'm already on dashboard 13146. Hopefully there's someone out there on an older dashboard who needs to update, who can confirm your findings (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
