| i dont know if this is possible because the fog is just in one place.. sounds like it would be kinda cool tho... sum sky fog.. :D |
Sky Fog? You mean like a cloud. lol
exactly like a cloud! i want to be able to take a banshee up there and have it be not that visible, also it would another element of mysteriousness in a level to have a cloud hanging low overhead
bump, maybe something to do with the bsp?
unfortunantly I dont know anything about modding...other than applying ppf patches, but the fog idea is a really cool idea.
It could also work well on the ground of blood gulch, a thin layer of fog, and just add bushes everywhere...get a Nam type effect going on.
But good luck on figuring it out.
Hey,
You guys are definitely on the right track.
It is defined by zones in the BSP.
...and, yes, obviously Swamp Fox knows how to do it.
I have put the "real fog" from 343GS into a map, bitmaps and all (just fog, no bugs), and I know where to implement the fog tag in the scenario, but unfortunately I can't make it show up anywhere because I don't yet know how to define a zone for it in the BSP.
If I make any progress I'll let you guys know.
In an another article below this one called "xbox BSP editing" or something like that somebody figured out how to look at the different bsp's and stuff, i wonder if we could look at the damnation bsp with the program that guy used...
