Title: 360 Xtractor 1.1 Won't Power Up
Post by: Keezie on August 28, 2010, 02:21:00 PM: i've seen some folks with Maximus Xtractor 1.2's talk about replacing some fuses, but i'm not sure if my 1.1 has fuses (or where they are). if they're there, i'd like to replace them.

any thoughts?

Post by: Keezie on August 28, 2010, 09:17:00 PM: i use it for every xbox i flash. it's worked flawlessly for the past year or so, then suddenly i went to flash a box and it just wouldn't turn on. i think i may have shorted it via the spear, but i have no proof of that. just a hunch

and yeah Takashi, mine definitely does not have those

Post by: deilzfcjk on August 28, 2010, 09:45:00 PM: Nah...your power button is screwed up. You are going to have to replace it with a SPST toggle switch. I think vgcrepairs.com will have some of those. you have the v1.1.

I had to replace all my stock of v1.2 with PPTC fuses before I sold them on my website back in 09. I don't know how you got such a old xtractor. Even though you said you been using for a year. You shoulda got the ones with different switch and PPTC.

thanks for the info though, i'll definitely give that a try. i'm trying to hold out on buying any new modding equipment until the CK3-CP comes out

okay i just bought an SPST toggle switch from Radio Shack, but i'm having trouble installing it. the original switch has 6 posts poking out of the through-hole slots, but the new SPST switch only has 2 posts. is this even going to work?
