I have quite a few Xecuter products for the 360 and although i could easily make home made versions for a 10th of the price,i dont have the time or the will so having the option to buy a good quality ready made device for a few quid is fine by me. Choice is good but if you dont like the teamX products i'm sure we can all appreciate that but theres no point in the Team X bashing whenever they release a new product, its extremely old and boring now.

The tool that you said TX came up with i builded myself with less then 4USD (a RS232 TTL converter)
I used a needle and was able to do hundreds of liteons 7xxx without any problem
So you are trying to say TX invented the rs232 TTL converter? Do your research before posting

That wasn't what I was implying. I was implying no release will most likely be made till Team X has some sort of tool that they will claim will be the only way of dumping/flashing the drive.

The way this has been done, wont be the way you do it - and thats not marketing, its because its beyond 99.9% of modders, simply because of what is required to do so.

The point is moot because of fcrt.bin. It is unlikely that this hack is undetectable.
You would be better off getting a JTAG than buying a slim and drive modding it.

On video, console has no change after TV show the logo.

No there isn't, it's just the way he spins the disc with his fingers, he kinda half-drops it. You see the "Open Tray" prompt at 0:38 anyway, proving that there is no disc in the drive.
The hack is, obviously, good news. These guys are prolific. I wonder if we'll be needing any new hardware though. I only just bought a Probe v2 a couple of weeks back.

it took 3 minutes to watch this damn video... they should have shown a disassembled unit with DVD drive cover off.. drop a backup disc in before the hack and watch the security screen come up..
then cut to video of drive after modification and then a backup DVD being put in and playing...
I'm a skeptic... for all I know it could have been another 360 hooked up to TV that we were all seeing...
lastly, even if it's a legit hack.... we probably won't see it for another few months...

It's probably not a fake. If it were just some kid on youtube announcing it then i would call shenanigans but this is C4E, Team Jungle and Team Xecuter, they do have somewhat of a reputation to maintain and lying about hacking the new drive would not help them keep that. And if they were lying about it then it would never actually get released because it of course wouldn't exist (if it were fake)
It gives me a reason to want a new 360 more maybe by xmas time when kinect is out this will all be finalized , I won't buy a new one until i can get kinect with it.

For the 2:52 part in the video: I watched it over and over and over again. At first glance it looks like 2 discs, but after watching the disc along with the motion of the fingers, I think it's more likely that the grip was bad, so the game angled back, then was adjusted quickly. The low frame rate/resolution of the camera doesn't help this matter, but I don't think it's fishy in that regard.
The only thing that struck me as odd about the video is the RoL/powering on and off of the console. Granted, I don't have a new model, but it seemed like the timing just is off a bit. However, after checking my 360's timing with that in the video, things seemed to sync up exactly like happens with my Jasper.
Regardless of my personal feelings toward C4E, Team Xecuter and company, I do respect the work that's being done and don't doubt the abilities exist to bring these sorts of things to completion. Given that, I am going to withhold judgement on the matter until something more concrete is presented.

Muchlike how all the anti-virus companies seem to have vaccines for new computer viruses within a few hours after a major one has been released... They have coders to write malicious viruses along with the antidote to increase their overall stock prices..
If M$ really wanted to stop all this, they could have done it when they first released the 360...

And just for all you that think the video is fake, check out 2:20. When he presses the guide button look at the time in the top right it says 12:02! Then look how long the video has been running? you guessed it, 2 mins.
He turned the console on, and it said 12:00. 2 mins after showing us the new xbox slim hacked, it said 12:02.

I don't know why people think they would lie about the video either. Showing Team Jungle's & C4e's past work, the amount of time the 360 S has been out, it is reasonable to say they have something in the works.

I believe the gov't allowed 9/11 to happen more then they were behind it. Also they let Pearl Harbor happen too, so we could use the atom bomb.

Seems to reason if 2 discs are in a drive tray and the cog is holding them firmly (bet it sounded wonderful - thanks for that audio-over) they would statically charge and vacuum themselves together in a tray. The cog has to be very strong to do something like that... holding 2 discs together to get the spin rate to reach 12x via just a magnet is some talent.
Guess when they shoot another video with the xbox apart, DVD tray apart, and we can see the backup spinning and the 360 crashing when the disc is ejected I'll believe. I have no doubt that the 360s is no more secure than any previous 360 model though.

WHAT are you talking about? Its the same SATA and power connector as before. Take a look at some of the teardowns.

Last off topic post: It's not SATA, probably IDE. I picked up the info from a site that translated the link you provided.
Back on topic: Everyone yells fake til its released, there really isnt any valid reason to suspect its not legit seeing who's releasing the info about it. I have a reason to get a Slim in the future.

Yes its hacked will it be free? probably yes, but you will probably have to buy some tool from team xecuter to flash the firmware.
People should appreciate what team jungle has done, but stop kissing ass, that is what i see in most of the posts on this thread, They weren't first hackers to hack the xbox drive who remebers the specialist?? yeah thats right most of you don't, if team jungle doesn't hack some one will, they are not the almighty hackers.

1 you only have to buy a hacking tool if your not a real hacker.. people like i bust out our trusty toolbox full of resistors a multimeter and other EE tools and we do our own work.. yo the MRA hack takes 5 MINS to setup and remove.. not counting flashing time..(shit it takes longer than that to add a LPC rebuild to a 1.6 XB1)
2 i think they have a modchip for the ps3 drive but im not sure.. but then u will also need a $200 bluray burner.. and some blank blurays (1x$25) and then you have to find you some ISOs which are like 50gb apeice.. either way that is too much trouble for a ps3 backup.. it would cost less to buy the game used.. ps3 backups will never happen until they make an iso loader..<-- and that will never happen because their "NEO" Geohot has left them with fully updated ps3's and no source code from his germany expo

You're a bit of a idiot deep down aren't you, it would be great if people did donate to jungle but they don't, why? because you want everything handed to you on a plate free of charge even when it is free you still complain, now perhaps i don't get the 2 discs thing you are on about perhaps you may need to wear glasses (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif), i see a guy putting one disc in and said disc slipping out the the tray because of the position he is in, I've done it myself many times so what i see is a slip with the disc unless you can clarify what it is you see?

one thing i was wondering could they have possibly just extracted the drive key and patched a old style dvd drive to show as one of the new ones....that should work aswell aslong as they can extract info from new dvd drive shouldnt be a problem spoofing one to match, i dont think this is what they have done, they probs done it properly but still i would have expected somthing like that before a full hack XD

Microsoft changed their minds on that and went with a cheaper option - they simply hid a really really realllly small midgit in there with a small disposable camera, the idea being that as soon as the case is opened he snaps off a couple of photos then LEAPS! out and runs off back to Microsoft. No news on wether these guys managed to catch him or not yet.

Yup, that's what I noticed. They didn't leave it on the game tray icon when inserting or ejecting the disc so all you can see is the silly, little avatar. Can't see their hands and if there is more than one controller being used and the camera doesn't pan to show the entire TV setup where another 360 could reside. Has all the signs of being a fake.
