I didn't have a game in the drive. I even opened the drive to make sure it wasn't something else and when I did I saw the laser moving and the motor spinning over and over again until I hit the eject button. On the dashboard it would say "reading" for like a minute after the system booted or until I head the eject button.
After I hit the eject button it would be fine though and act normally. I also tried Rev3 Final and Rev5 Test and this didn't happen with either one.
Edit: I just tested it by turning on the system with the game in the drive and it was fine, it just did the intial read of the game when I turned it on then it brought me to the dashboard with it showing me which game I have in ( I don't have auto play on by the way). It must be something when the drive first turns on that it keeps on trying to read a game.

It is something C4E added in version 1.5 IX
MS may send a command to the LiteOn drive also will answer this back. That is how I understand it, therefore I have added it in REV4. But it has not been used and maybe it will never be used.
No plan for a Rev 5
From IX 1.6
SS v2 suports multiple timing samples for challenges type 5 and 7 , stroing them in the SS. This is a pre-requiste for SS v3 which has support for the so called AP2.5 check. Since this has never been used or may never be used by MS we will adopt a wait and see approach and continue to monitor for its usage.

please correct me on the pattern if im wrong but so far only one of my friends have surrived without a ban for about 4 months and i did his box and backed up his games but got hit by another ban on another console a while back he had an early lite on both time, as did i but now im rocking the benQ. so... there still may be a chance that MS actually have been testing results that come back from a console when updating, but my friend may be small percentage that sliped through, wish we had some reliable inside infromation, so has any one else updated with the firmware on then not been banned with this?

Wasn't going to respond but let me break something down real siple for you. 1.41 nonstealth has been out for ages....boots all waves with no problem for offline play. The addition of ssv2 and other values are an attempt to make 1.6 non-stealth. This is once again not LT....
1+1= 2 if you think this is a revision just for better dvd compatibility you live in a small misinformed world. This fw is targetted towards live...and should NOT be advised but its you decision for usage. What you eat doesn't make others shit....so no one should care what you use.
But when feeding others false info and bad high hopes.......they tend to shit out bans - get it now?

Bans have stopped since a 2-3 weeks ago. You can use any firmware for the time being and not get banned straight away.

Me, I had 1.5 on before flashed from stock never used online. I then spoofed to Rev2 first then updated console. Played on live for a few weeks then upgraded to Rev3 then Rev4. Still good so far.
BenQ spoofed as LiteOn.

Yeah, the version there doesn't seem to have been updated since Rev4 fix1 came along, why is that?
So if spoofing a benq as a liteon, don't we need that coz rev4 had problems to start with. SS?
On a side note, can anyone report how smooth the benq firmware is running now?
I remember not long back when the firmware on them was laggy on backups, especially one's like assassins creed. It improved with 1.51 but when compared with other drives it still was not as good.
My options are either samsung or benq spoofed as liteon or the original liteon drive. Want non-stealth of course.
Prefer to spoof atm because there is talk of laser calibration data that is in the original liteon firmware but this can be edited as long as you have it.

Maybe your laser is going? Mine wasn't reading discs so i took it apart and cleaned the laser and but it back together and its been fine for months now.
If not just install the games to your HHD that your having the problems with.

You won't have the same probs if you install to hdd but the benq does still have to work hard to keep the video running compared to other drives. So this and all other stealth firmwares are not safe for live. Hopefully if you used this or any other firmware online that you arent flagged yet and you can go back to stock until LT comes out.

if you've ran non-stealth firmware before and after the November Dash update, you were undetectable and not flagged or banned..
