I am a bit stuck on what steps i need to take to make a iXtreme 1.6 for a 93450.
I have the maximus template file template_ix16-liteon93450.bin

I have a hex editor and jungle flasher. Looking for something more step by step.

I am sure if i wait a day or two there will be a app for that.

open jungleflasher, open your dump as the TARGET, not as the source. Right click in the target window, click save dummy.bin, save it. Open the dummy in the SOURCE pane, and then open the template IX in the target, and manually spoof over your key and barcode.

I am just not sure if you have to flash the drive with the tray half open, or if it matters.

Ahh, it was the creating of the dummy file that had me most stuck. And solution is so simple. Right click. Thanks!

Well i just copyied the key into the firmware and it plays games. Of course i wont be going on xbox live with it. Waiting for LT firmware.

Wasn't sure how to manually put in bar code and it doesn't seem to matter. By manual did you mean read it off the various spots on the drive or was there a easy way to do it from the dummy file?

Tray was closed when i erased and flashed. I used lite-on-erase and dosflash.

\o/ end result was fun!

whoa, PS PS PS, put the flashed drive back in to the pc, click dummy from ixtreme, all works, use those files and spoof to target, target being benq ixtreme 1.41 non stealth!
testing now

WORKS!

for some reason when I clicked dummy from ixtreme it didnt work on my 93450c-2. I flashed the firmware with the tray half open, and the tray was half open when I tried to read the firmware.. no luck.

Oh well, 1.6 is fine, and I dont care about live, I had my fun on it back in the day, so this brand new console went on live before hacking to get the latest updates then its perma-offline. Any other updates ill just manually do offline by downloading them.

I wonder if this has anything to dow ith the fact that im a 93450c or a 93450c-2

iXtreme 1.6 is for ALL LiteOn drives. Download it from where you usually download your firmware (i.e. xbins)

so when i grab the key from 93450c
i create dummy

insert it into cfw 1.6 earlear downloaded (months ago) or i need to search new version for 93450c

is there a way to create a inquiery, identify and serial file?

i loaded the original dump as target in JF
i saved the dummy.bin
i loaded dummy.bin as source
i loaded template as target.

OK, i can spoof key manually, and i can spoof the Lite-on inquiery.bin manually.

But what about the other data?

Hry Guys
I've got an 93450c Drive but JF tells me its 73 Firmware on it. Spoofed ix 93 template manually and flashed it but xbox would just play dvds. Tried 73 ix repack but got errors flashing it. Dont know which firmware to flash or how to Spoof it.

got the same problem here
read the original firmware a couple of times to check if the key is correct. i used dosflash 16 to read it.
then wanted to use jungleflasher to spoof the firmware. auto spoofing didnt work so i changed the drive key by hand. used 1.67b but it also said the firmware was version 7xxxx
and the 93450 template i loaded as target was shown to me as 83xx. got an error message cross spoofing is not supportet. even tried to rebuild data from the barcode and the laser and pcb numbers. xbox just would play dvds. flashed the original dump back and can play originals again.

Jungleflasher has not caught up to these new developments in lite-hacking.
It will not yet report the firmware as the correct versions.

I too was stuck and thats why i created this thread. In post # 2 we get the answer on how to get the key.

Then get the firmware templates from xbins and all you need to do to get backups running is paste your key in. You can do the drive serial data too if you want but its not needed. This is not safe on xbox live anyhow so i don't see the point.

Strange, I did all of those things too...got key, got template, flashed Jungle Flasher 1.67b

However my machine does something weird. Originals and movies work fine, but when I put a backup in, it doesn't recognize it at all and give me, 'Open Tray' on the screen like it cant read the disc. I've tried different discs, same issue.

The key must be correct to play originals, but cant recognize backups? On a non-mod'd machine, it sees backups as DVD's which is the correct response.

Bad firmware? I've tried both liteon838 and the V2 template and same result. Any insight would be great.

followed the steps from post #2
opend firmware as target and saved the dummy.bin
then opened it as source and got an error message that it might be incomplete and i could restore data by typing in my barcode etc. did this then manually spoofed the key and barcode.
but it still just would play dvd movies neither original nor backup games.

i too am at the same spot. got the key (finally), verified with 3 dumps, and now every time i save the original from the target field and try to open it under source, and it won't go (this is not a valid source f/w file). so i manually entered in the barcode and the key, but from what the guys above are saying, it doesn't work. before i waste another hour, any suggestions?

finally got it to work
you load your firmware as target and save the dummy.bin
load it as source and ignore the error messages, continue anyway.
then you can save your key.bin with a button on the right side.
load the template as target and click on manual spoof.
select your key.bin. dont type in your barcode or anything else.
save it as hack.bin and flash.
if it doesnt work 1st time try ejecting the tray a few times and restart the xbox.

So before I do this, is there anyway I can use my 9x key with a benq cfw. Or is there any lite on cfw that doesn't have security checks. I have the activate iso already, I just don't want to use it if I don't have to.

Been trying with this 93xxx drive, extracted the bin succesfully, save it as dummy, loaded templates, spoofed key, etc but when I hit write in JF, it won't pass write verification, is this normal?
I mean, it writes the 4 banks, then verifies what it just wrote, then says 'verfication failed'.
I wonder if this is "Normal" or is it only happenning to me.
BTW the chip is detected by JF as MXIC(MX25L2005) and I had no problem to get it in vendor mode (0x72).
Another question: Should I use Lite-On Erase button prior to flashing?

I assume you should erase it before writing. I am using lite-on-erase and dosflash32 myself. I only use jungleflasher to create the custom firmwares.

so i open the dump f/w as target.
then it say this is not a valid target f/w, i click ok
then i right mouse click on the target window.
the "save dummy" is grey out...so i can not save it as a dummy file.

wat can i do ?

HI everybody I also got it worked to dump the 93 Key and I used the iXtreme 1.6 templates for Lite-on 83850-v2 and 93450 from MAXIMUS
But is there a template for SAMSUNG MS28 Drive with Ixtreme 1.61 firmware out ?
because I want to Dump the 93 Drive and Spoof a Samsung Ms28 drive with Ixtreme 1.61 and the key from the 93 drive.
I dont get it worked. I tryed to save the key from the Dumped 93 original Bios but it doesnt really work.

hi, I have a problem with an old LITEON 74850 that cannot read key the easy way (don´t ask me why but I tried everything with no results), so I tried the hardmod way as last hope. I was able to dump firmware, but when I try to read it with JF it says is not a valid f/w file.
I think I can´t post the file here, so If anyone have an idea let me know. I´ll PM with It attached.
maybe there is a way to extract the key with a HEX editor? but I don´t know where I should look, I mean what string...

You need to click "Open Target fw"

I know m8, I flashed over 20 83v2 the last two weeks...
but this 74 seems that doesn´t want to get flashed.
dump looks legit, 256kb, but It wont open in JF.
I must say that the xbox works fine with originals.
ill PM you with the .bin if you like, I dump this drive firmware several times with same results each time.

I am having issues flashing the firmware back to the drive. I patched up the traces and put the drive back together. I try to load it up in dosflash but all I am getting is 0x52. Used liteon erase, and when im trying to write it, it just says no known flashchip on this port.

he says "its not just enough to solder the two points here... r707 and r708..."
do i have to solder those two points as well? if i do have to do stuff to those two points.. could someone please give a link or explain what it is exactly i have to do to those two points?

after all that, i just hook up the drive to my computer sata port and can i leave the power connected to the xbox 360, and use jungle flasher?

if i do it that way without a connectivity kit or whatever, will there be any problems ? will i have to do things differently? i remember for another drive i flashed, i had to do something like eject the drive, remove the power cable, push in the tray half way and plug the cable back in. will i have to do that?

also, is this the only file i will need from xbins? ix16_templates.rar

another thing I'm confused about is patching up the drive.. i do that after dumping the drive.. but if i patch up, and hook the drive back up to my computer to flash it.. how does jungle flasher recognize it? i thought the point of cutting traces and soldering wires was so that it could be recognized.

anyways, sorry for beeing a noob.

there is no need to solder the two points r707 and r708

Anyone here willing to help? Been testing on a 74850 liteon and i got a few good dumps. Made ixtreme firmware etc, but it fails at flash verification test. When reading back the firmware (after the flash) it reads all banks and that, i get the message "This is not a falid target f/w file".
Any advice on this? Should i resolder everything before flashing?

How do you get your key from the firmware dump so it can be entered manually?? When I right click and load f/w then right click again 'save dummy' is greyed out.....why is this?

No, i did not. and I just tried with new JF 1.69, and gave me "Parse Fail" error.
