You know, they "promote" this, and whats to say MS isn't going to get their hands on this, and find a way to break/crack this, and continue the ban wave. I am sure MS has trolls on this forum that will be putting this on their 360s, and finding out how it works, only for MS to quickly implement this into their ban wave.

open abgx360 go to misc /split vid /add if if isent valid or missing /auto fix 3 for downloaded backups and zero for your own rips on auto fix page 1st 3rd and 4th option and on options check everything but display ifo system and disable online functions go to file click save setting name one level 3 with level 3 auto fix and same with zero then load setting that apply to said game
open angx after you do that change to dvd if it is an dvd or iso if iso run full thing unitll end dont skip the crc or it wont check split vid
you will have to check all your games with this split vid option enabled and you will need a 0800 drive to rip games now as k drives wont do them correctly ..

it doesnt matter. u can always add it urself. abgx360 has options to check splitvid and add it if it is missing. just make sure to run all of your iso's that u "back up" through it before u burn.

the whole point of the new fw is to not need the activate.iso because it gets rid of essentially all stealth checks... why would u want to use it? and there is no such thing as "lite-extreme"

No offense to C4E, without him none of this would be possible, and i deeply respect his work, but I never did like all those checks he added into the firmware for all these noobs to make sure they are "playing safe" online

Of course it could happen, no one is ever 100% safe... just safer than yesterday and hopeful you don't get hit by the banhammer. Anyone who mods and expects to never be banned is ignorant of the cat and mouse game and should probably stick to retail.

I do not expect the firmware to "hold my hand". I asked a simple question similar to what someone else asked. My question concerned whether my method of backup (kreon drive in a PC using Xbox Backup Creator) would make a backup containing the SplitVid. Simple as that.

Thats about it, nothing more to be said, if you run download backups you want padding and splitvid checks on, but they may be missing some SS blocks and you will never know (till your banned) so its all a risk and MS will likely find a way to ban us all in time. We should get a couple months run with LT at least (fingers crossed), extremely hard to predict as know-one knows what MS knows, and if they know anything we don't know as of yet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
PS. Your question is best suited in the DVD-DL backup forum not here, it has been answered 100 times over there no doubt also.

Try putting your DVD drive back to stock and attempt to use xbox live with a original online and then see. I also think it may be a good idea to format your storage device before just in-case your profile has stored something while you been playing offline, it may have you flagged OFFLINE and may upload this ban to MS once you go online and ignore the fact you have all stock firmware etc...

That is true, however...if that day comes, would you prefer to be in the group whose vulnerability makes news, or in the group that says "big deal, doesn't affect me"?
On the flip side, if they intended to use it, doesn't it seem like Microsoft would have done so by now? Perhaps as drives age and lasers deteriorate, it's not reliable enough to be usable for banning?

I like to be informed. Blanket statements like SSv1 will get you banned, but SSv2 won't is complete BS. A plausible scenario where SSv2 would be needed is if the CR table has an expected value of say 90 degrees, but the actual sectors are 180 degrees apart. Would Microsoft have done so by now? Not necessarily since it creates other headaches.

Hell someone has to have money to make the games you play.I dont blame them at all for banning us. Im sure the money you have saved in games is far more than what it would cost you to buy another 360.Only dumbasses blame MS for banning us for illegally costing them money.Thats like stealing a car and then hating the person that owned it because they pressed charges on you.Banning is minor.Just be thankful they dont want to spend loads of money trying to prosecute people like the Napster incidents.
Are there any mega companies that do everything legit? Probably not but without them and mass production the economy would constantly be in turmoil with us being in the technology era.
I myself living in the US am glad that an American technology company is so successful. Most of the other successful tech mega corps come from Japan. Hell where do Sony and Nintendo come from? Japan.
Hell I wish Ford and GM and other American car companies made better vehicles than Japan but they dont. So I will buy a Toyota or Honda if i want depenability or quality.
If you dont live in the US or have anti American sentiment then I guess I can understand.
I will root on American companies but in the end I will buy the best quality and reliable product I can get.
I applaud MS for staying on top of there field.Mega company or not it is nice to see an American tech company that is not dedicated to war machines succeed and stay on top.

Exactly, he was quick to jump to conclusions . My Xbox was only 2 weeks old before the banwave started and I had only played 2 games on it, Borderlands (backup) and Forza 3 (retail), so I decided my chances of having been flagged previously were exceptionally low - I was just doing damage control.
