Title: Brand New Samsung Ms28!

Just got a brand new ms28 flash fw on it put in the 360 an it spins like someone revin there car! anyone got any idea?!?

Does it read original games at all or anything at all?

Nothing at all! same thing with cd's dvd's an games! ive tried with original fw, in another xbox and the lens light comes on!

It sounds like you got a bad drive. Send it back to where you got it and get a replacement.


You got be be careful. Many resalers are selling drives labeled as NEW and is in fact used or refurbished.

yeah, and there hasn't been any "new" samsungs for quite some time.

I too had bought a so-call new Samsung ms28 from a reseller.

When it arrived...i've noticed the outer casing of the drive is not in the best of shape.
There is no valid dvd-key to the drive...just multiple 0000s

Lucky...i just need it as an external standalone drive and was able to load ix1.6 0800 firmware on it.

So a brand new Samsung ms28...unless someone has dig it out of a time capsule...lol
