Title: Spoofing Benq As Lite-on

Just had an idea, do you guys think spoofing a BenQ as a LiteOn with original firmware be safe for Live? Has anyone tried this? I want to go back legit, but obviously cant revert back the LitOn but i do have an extra BenQ drive. Any thoughts on this?

The risk is still there no matter what. And since you have probobly already played a backup on the console you are probably alread flagged for a ban and if not since backup use will be stored within the NAND of your console even if you go to a stock drive it will still be uploaded to Live next time you connect.


Your best bet is to just stay offline and wait until the new LT firmware comes out and cross your fingers and hope you have not already been flagged for a ban.

i just sent 3 people off.
1. Benq spoofed as hitachi with 1.41rev2 nonstealth
2. benq with 1.41rev2 nonstealth
3. sammy with 5.3a firmware

I'll let you know if they get banned, but it took me 2 weeks to finally get banned (and it was on the dashboard. lol.)

So in theory if not flagged this should work, right? I am 99.9% sure that they can detect the firmware now, and that's how they are banning. I been using CFW's literally since day one, and never been banned. I think if I was flagged i would be banned by now. I think the only flagging from now one will be from non proper games and playing way to early before release day. Anyways back on topic I would still like to here from anyone that has tried going on LIVE with a spoofed original firmware.

I doing it with a ms28, until now I'm still alive on live. Next test will be put the samsung on a console which is not updated yet and them run the live update.

I guess it will work.

And thinking about what happened in this ban "wave", when the update is running is when it should read the firmware, I say that cause i've another xbox which I first update and after unlock and it's still on live too, with a lite-on iX1.6 and playing backups.
