I have done some searching and reading, but most posts I find are for 78/79 drives.
I have a Hitachi 59 drive that I want to flash back to stock firmware. I still have the original firmware from when I first flashed with the SLAX/DOS method from the Textbook 2008 guide. It saved 3 files: "key", "was", and "now". Im assuming the "was" file is my original FW.
So how do I go about flashing to stock using Jungleflasher?
Thanks for any help.

make sure you get the hitachi firmware package from wherever..then in jungleflasher get the drive into modeb and click the restore firmware..that will take it back to stock
-
That firmware in the package is "fake" stock. I want "my original" firmware back
-
Nope, it's real.
Depends if you went to the "usual place"
-
its impossible for the hitachi firmware to be fake.
the hitachi is the only drive that doesn't flash a full firmware it actualy modifies a few sectors of the firmware in situe. all it does when you restore is return those few sectors back to how they where

Hmm.. I could of swore I read something in jungle flasher tutorial that stated the "orig" firmware in the pack, isn't a real stock. Its just needed for flashing ixtreme purposes.
Ok, I will try to do that. Thanks for the info.
