Title: Media Player Networking With Pc

Someone told me that you can share a folder on your pc and can run videos and such from your xbox (media player) through networking.

how do you do that

anyone can help?

If you have evo stuff installed with Slayer or similar and you have XBMP24,
easier way is just simply:

- go under xbmp24 in you Xbox (propably f:/apps/xbmp24)
- open the config.xml file with notepad/wordpad etc.
- find SMB share location and specify your location, IP like
user:[email protected]/share

share = sharing name of your PC share Hard Disk
169.169.169.169 in this case means = PC IP-number

It's called SMB networking. I would reccomend not doing it until you upgrade to XBMC. Then read the pinned topics in that forum to learn how to set it up.

XBMP is no longer supported by the development team, upgrade to XBMC.  ;)
