Is it possible to install other codecs into Xbox media player? and if yes would anybody know where i could get them  <

Not really. Its more something the developers have to add support for. XBMP isnt updated anymore so no new codecs will be supported byt he team. They have all moved onto XBMC so i would investigate that.  <
